It’s About the Kids – We Celebrate You Because You Make A Difference In Their Future

The program “Teaching 21st Century Kids” was developed by Dr Patty O’Sullivan.

Re-Thinking Education

We have 19th century classrooms, 20th century teachers and 21st century kids!  Education for this generation of youth needs to be emotional, relational, interactive and relevant.  Patty O’Sullivan, Ph.D.

Teaching 21st Century Kids (T21CK) goes beyond computers and the Internet as the primary source of change in the classroom. T21CK is a one-day (7-hours) workshop that offers a suite of strategies for achieving peak performance goals and working with immediate challenges.

T21CK  focuses on what is already going right in your classroom and provides a practical methodology for immediate action, without adding another layer of work in the classroom.

Here are some examples of challenges and practical strategies.

  • Teachers create blueprints for expanding their influence as educators to include the attributes of mentoring, facilitating and coaching.

Classroom Management

  • Creating an environment where the kids own what happens in the class.
  • Holding each other accountable by setting a standard where the classroom is a safe and supportive place to learn.

Intrinsic Motivation

  • Motivating students to be engaged in learning and being self-propelled without immediate rewards.
  • Staying motivated as a teacher so you have creativity and energy.
